Privacy Policy

Effective Date: July 01, 2025

Ancestral Code Studio ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal data when you play our mobile games, use our websites, or interact with any of our services (together, the "Services").

If you do not agree with our practices, please do not use our Services.

1. Information We Collect

We collect personal and non-personal information to operate our games, improve user experience, serve relevant advertisements, and provide customer support.

a. Information You Provide Voluntarily

When you interact with our games or customer support, you may voluntarily provide:

  • Your email address when contacting us or subscribing to a newsletter.
  • A username or display name if required in-game.
  • Feedback, survey responses, bug reports, or customer service tickets you submit.
  • Information related to in-app purchases, such as product ID or transaction status, as shared by the App Store or Google Play.

We do not collect financial information such as credit card numbers directly. All payments are handled by Apple, Google, or the platform you use.

b. Information Collected Automatically

When you play our games, we automatically collect data through software development kits (SDKs), analytics tools, and ad services. This includes:

  • Device information: model, OS version, screen resolution, language, carrier.
  • Gameplay data: session length, progression, scores, in-game actions, retention.
  • Identifiers: Advertising ID (IDFA/GAID), IP address, device ID, anonymized user ID.
  • Crash reports and performance data: frame rate, memory usage and cash logs.

c. Data from Third Parties

We may receive information from third parties, such as:

  • Authentication services (e.g., Facebook, Google) if you log in via social accounts.
  • Analytics providers (e.g., Firebase, GameAnalytics) for understanding player behavior.
  • Ad networks (e.g., Unity Ads, AdMob, AppLovin) for targeting and monetization.
  • Platform providers (e.g., Apple, Google) for purchase verification or feature access.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to deliver a high-quality gaming experience and operate our business efficiently. Specifically, we use your information to:

  • Enable core functionality of the game (e.g., saving progress, unlocking content).
  • Personalize gameplay based on user behavior (e.g., difficulty scaling, progression pacing).
  • Respond to inquiries and provide customer support.
  • Detect and prevent fraud, cheating, and abuse.
  • Measure engagement and optimize balance.
  • Show advertisements that are relevant and less repetitive.
  • Track purchases and deliver virtual goods or benefits.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

When advertising is enabled, ad partners may use the collected information to determine which ads to show you and when. We do not allow ad networks to use your personal information for profiling beyond our apps unless you explicitly consent (where required).

3. Advertising and Monetization

Our games often include in-app purchases (IAP) and in-app advertisements (IAA).

In-App Purchases

In-app purchases allow players to buy virtual items or remove ads. These purchases are processed by third-party platforms (Apple App Store, Google Play). We do not receive or store your payment card details. We may receive confirmation of your transaction, and use it to provide the corresponding in-game item.

We retain purchase metadata, such as the product ID and timestamp, to enable restoration of purchases and for internal metrics (e.g., conversion rates).

Advertising

We partner with third-party advertising networks, including Unity Ads, AdMob, AppLovin, and others, to show ads in our games. Ads may include rewarded videos, interstitials, banners, or offer walls. These partners may collect:

  • Your Advertising ID (IDFA/GAID)
  • Your approximate location (inferred from IP address)
  • Device information and interaction data (e.g., ad views and clicks)

Ads are used to support free gameplay and may be personalized based on your behavior. You can manage ad tracking via:

  • iOS: Settings Privacy & Security Tracking
  • Android: Settings Google Ads Opt out of Ads Personalization

Rewarded ads are always optional and designed to enhance user experience (e.g., extra lives, bonus coins).

5. Children’s Privacy

Our Services are not intended for children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without verified parental consent. If we learn that we have collected such data, we will delete it promptly.

Some versions of our games may include parental controls or age-gated content. If you are a parent or guardian and believe we have collected your child's information, please contact us.

6. Data Sharing and Transfers

We may share your data with:

  • Cloud service providers for data hosting and processing.
  • Analytics and marketing partners for behavior analysis and ad delivery.
  • Payment platforms for transaction processing and fraud detection.
  • Customer support platforms for handling inquiries and tickets.
  • Authorities when legally obligated.

We do not sell your personal data. If we engage in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be part of the transferred assets, in which case you will be notified accordingly.

Your information may be transferred to countries outside your jurisdiction, including to the United States or Singapore, where data protection laws may differ. In such cases, we use safeguards like Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent mechanisms to protect your information.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, unless a longer retention period is required by law. When data is no longer needed, it will be securely deleted or anonymized.

8. Your Rights

If you are a resident of California, you may also have the right to opt-out of the “sale” of your data (under CCPA). We do not knowingly sell personal data

9. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures, such as secure servers, encrypted data transmission, and access controls, to protect your data. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or features of our Services. When we make significant changes, we will notify users through our Services or via email if you have provided one. The "Effective Date" at the top will always reflect the latest version.
